1956 由 Eames 夫婦以19 世紀流行的私人俱樂部休閒椅為藍本，推出這張休閒主人椅時，同時樹立了所謂 Mid-Century 的指標性大器設計，其高度識別及儼然家具設計王者的姿態，至今鮮少人能出其右。在整體結構上，採用最經典的 Plywood 技術，以七層交織的縝密膠合木為這款休閒主人椅打造完美的胡桃木或是黑檀木裝飾背板。恆久傾斜的背靠是為了給予頸椎與脊椎良好的支撐，並在承接您的身體重量時將壓力分散到正確的位置。接近腰脊的緩衝軟墊透過精密的人體工學計算，讓您在視聽娛樂或是與親友交談時都能輕鬆舒適。

2013年，美國 Herman Miller 公司通過一種全新專利生產工藝，重新推出了 1950 年原版的 Eames 模壓玻璃纖維餐椅。全新工藝對人類和環境安全無害，並讓這些模壓玻璃纖維餐椅以多種復古色彩重現。由於採用了新的專利玻璃纖維生產工藝，Herman Miller 通過揮發性更低、無單體的乾式粘合 (dry bind) 工藝，安全地再現 Eames 原創設計，一樣具有迷人的表面變化和標誌性的玻璃纖維紋理，這些特徵數十年來一直吸引著熱衷於復古收藏的人士。
